A working day on our software

Every hour, a different part of the business.

09:00

Point of sale

The tills open. Sales are saved on the device first, so the first bill goes through whether or not the Wi-Fi is up.

Café and frozen-food outlets

What we build

The systems a shop, kitchen or warehouse needs to run the day. Each one is built for one business, and they share one set of data.

01

Point of sale

Android tills that keep selling when the internet drops, sold by the piece or by weight.

02

Stock and warehouse

A ledger of every stock movement across warehouses and outlets, with stock counts and expiry.

03

Production and costing

Recipes, batches and waste, with the cost of every item worked out from what ingredients actually cost.

04

People

Clock-in with geofencing, leave and overtime approvals, and monthly payroll with payslips.

05

Reports

Separate views for owners, managers and clerks: sales, stock value, waste and shifts, in rupiah.

06

Public website

The menu, reviews and live sold-out status, read straight from the till.

07

Licensing

Signed annual licences the till checks for itself, so nothing depends on our servers being up.

08

Guest chat

Instagram and WhatsApp chats in one inbox, with an AI assistant that drafts replies from the live menu and turns booking requests into reservations.

Built with

Flutter, Next.js, NestJS, Supabase, Postgres and Claude.

Client work

Each system is built for one business, around how that business already works. Client names are left out here; we're happy to introduce you if you'd like to talk to them.

How we build

Businesses in Indonesia run on patchy internet, cash drawers and WhatsApp. We build for that.

It keeps working offline

Tills and counts save on the device first and sync when the connection comes back. A dropped signal never stops a sale.

Indonesian by default

Screens are in Bahasa Indonesia, prices in rupiah and times in WIB. English sits alongside for owners and managers who want it.

Your own system, your own data

Each client gets a separate database and a system shaped around their own workflow, not a shared template.

We stay after launch

The people who build your system are the people who fix it, change it and answer when something looks wrong.

Working with us

From the first message to a system your staff use every day. Nothing is built before you've agreed, in writing, what it will do and what it will cost.

  1. Tell us how you run things

Email us about your business: what you sell, how many outlets, where stock is kept, how staff clock in. We reply with questions, not a sales pitch.

  2. We see the work first

We spend time at the counter, in the storeroom and in the kitchen, in person or on a call, before we design a single screen.

  3. A written proposal

What the first version does, what it leaves for later, when it’s ready and what it costs. You decide from there.

  4. Built in stages

You see working screens as we go, and your staff try them on real orders and real stock before anything goes live.

  5. Launch at your shop

We set up the tills, bring in your menu, products and stock, train the team, and stay close through the first weeks.

  6. An annual licence, with support

One yearly licence covers updates, fixes and support. When the business changes, the system changes with it.

About 9to6

9to6 is a small software studio founded by Valiant Azarya, working between Sydney, Jakarta and Bengkulu.

The name is the working day: the hours our clients' shops, kitchens and warehouses are open, and the hours our software has to hold up.

We take on a few clients at a time and work with the owner directly, from the first sketch to the till on the counter.

Tell us how your business runs today.

What you sell, where your stock lives, how many people clock in. We'll reply with how we'd approach it.
